Shane Warne expects to won the prestigious title of Ashes Series to be played against England. Australian media has presented the Cricketing nation in crisis, where selectors seems bit confused regarding the squad for the upcoming first test to be played in Brisbane and key players suffering from injuries etc.
While addressing the Sydney Cricket Ground, he said, “If Australia lose this, they're going to go even further down the chain and probably there'll be a big upheaval of the team as well. They know what's at stake and I'm sure they're going to lift their game and play exceptionally good cricket and win.”
He further added, “I think England before a ball is bowled have got their best chance of winning, but I think Australia will win because they know the conditions better. When the tight moments are there, Australia will just get over the line.”
Former England Captain and all rounder, Ian Botham stated that he is quite surprised with decision of Australia for selecting such a huge squad. While addressing Sydney Morning herald in Melbourne, he said, “I'm loving it at the moment because it seems Australia are at each other's throats, which is great from our point of view.”
