Big in Second Cricket Test Against India

New Zealand’s opener Martin Guptill is expecting to score more than 500 runs in the second cricket test to pressurize Indian team. Recently, he batted very well and scored 85 runs. New Zealand commenced the series as rank outsiders and completed first day of second test at 258 runs for four at the magnificent Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

Guptill further added, “I think 500 will be a good score on this wicket and we would then hope that our bowlers do the job and put pressure on India.” After the dismissal of opener Brendon McCullum, New Zealand was in huge trouble.

Guptill accompanied with centurion Tim McIntosh played at 147-run partnership for second wicket and want to finish the day at respectable position. Guptill also stated, “We were just telling each other to stay positive. That partnership really gave us the momentum, but losing two wickets towards the end pushed us a little back. But hopefully, we can push the Indians.”

While discussing the performance of his team, Guptill said, “The wicket was pretty flat but I think we played pretty well. And the Indians were landing the ball in demanding areas.” On being asked regarding the Wicket, he said, “There is something in it for everybody. It has something more than at least Ahmedabad.”
